Hey, I'm Jeremy Lamar
Charlotte-based photographer
My relationship with photography began the way most creative obsessions do — casually, almost accidentally, shooting street photos on an iPhone. Over the years the practice never quite left me, even when life got in the way. It wasn't until a trip to New York that something finally clicked. Photography was just the latest chapter in a longer story of making things: flower beds, wood burning, drawing, a life spent learning to pay attention to the world. At the heart of it all is a simple but powerful need: to document that we were here. I want families and friends to have something to hold onto, images that exist beyond a screen and outlast the moment they were taken.
"The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do."
Andy Warhol
